A student-focused, cross-country Talkback Tour that leveraged the documentary Girls’ Night Out to spark conversation about bingedrinking culture at 22 post-secondary institutions in 8 provinces.
Girls’ Night Out is a provocative point-of-view documentary exploring issues related to alcohol and alcohol-related harms among young people.
In association with the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse, the #RethinkTheDrink Talkback Tour leveraged the film Girls’ Night Out to engage students in an innovative peer-to-peer discussion around their alcohol consumption. The #RethinkTheDrink tour visited 22 universities and colleges across Canada in 2016, from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia motivating youth to think critically about binge-drinking culture and enact positive change in their lives.
