Dive in with swimmers in their sixties and beyond, making a splash as they hold back the hands of time and celebrate the beauty, strength and joy they have found in artistic (synchronized) swimming. Sue, Ellen, Cris, Luther, Monica and Joyce have pushed through physical, emotional and physical boundaries to pursue their sport. Collectively, they have lost partners, suffered injuries and contended with ageist assumptions about what they can do. But through it all, they keep swimming. Now they are preparing to go to the U.S. Masters Artistic Swimming Championships. One is going for gold, another knows she’ll come last, and others are going for community. These athletes are a testament to perseverance, the resilience of the human spirit, and our endless capacity for growth at any age.
