Que mangera-t-on demain ?

In 2050, our planet will have more than 9 billion inhabitants. Feeding them all will be a huge challenge. This series presents solutions and experiences from around the world to ensure global food security.

Overview

Nine billion people will be living on our planet in 2050. How can we feed this growing population without resulting in more deforestation and pollution? In the Silicon Valley laboratories, cutting-edge scientists are creating the animal proteins of tomorrow… without animals. Across the planet, we’re reevaluating how we produce our food. More sustainable means of production are tested. Algae and insects are being introduced on the menu. And while society is reflecting upon tomorrow’s food, a controversial option is being brought up: creating super animals from transgenesis. So, what will we be eating tomorrow?

The digital component proposes to reflect on food by highlighting the balance between food, eating habits and their impact on the environment, in order to offer solutions for a better future for food and consequently, a healthier future.
